I spotted this Chevrolet SUV in a local parking lot Sunday evening. According to the decals, it belongs to some storm spotters. Also, note the Oklahoma plate.
It reminded me of a lot of late springs/early summers in Kansas when we’d see severe weather and whole convoys of storm chasers would pull through town. You could tell it was them because suddenly a line of six to 10 cars covered in antennae and weather-measuring devices would drive through in a line, and not slowly, on an evening when severe weather was being forecast.
Based on the amount of lighning and thunder we had last night and this morning, I can see why they’d be here.
Also, look at the title on the back of the Chevy, and turn it into an acronym. Something tells me that wasn’t an accident.
