I suppose now’s a good time to point out that I have a link on this page that takes you to a National Weather Service page with the latest readings of the James River’s level here in Jamestown.
The link, titled “James River level” is to your right under “Useful links.” If you’re reading this anytime the same we I post it, I expect you’ll see some noteworthy jumps on the chart.
The National Weather Service also has levels for other rivers in other cities. For example, here’s the Sheyenne River as it’s measured in Valley City, N.D. There are plenty of other measurements being taken in North Dakota and the area around here. You can see those on this page.
