Back to work

I’m back from my vacation, which I meant to describe in more detail before leaving but couldn’t.

My destination was Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Before this trip, I’d never heard of them, and neither did most other people I know.

The trip was a Christmas gift from my future mother-in-law and father-in-law. Both their children are getting married this year, so they took themselves, their children and their children’s future spouses to this little island in the Caribbean for a week together.

The vacation was a real blessing. We stayed in a house near the ocean and spent the week swimming, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, eating and doing plenty of other things together. It gave us all time to get to know each other because a year from today, we’ll all be family.

I’ll post pictures and more details of my trip later, but right now I’m too busy catching up at work.

Also, if you feel jealous of me for getting to go on this trip, take comfort in the fact that I got absolutely devoured alive by the mosquitoes while I was down there and am itching like mad at the moment.

  1. I do feel a little better in light of your scratchy discomfort.

The itching reminds you of summer time in North Dakota?
Glad you had a wonderful trip.
