Remember all those puppies we had not too long ago? All but one has been adopted, and this is your chance to get her.
Meet Mabel.
Mabel is a springer spaniel mix at the James River Humane Society. She is getting a bit big, but she is still very much a puppy and has a fair amount of growing and learning left to do. You can view her Petfinder.com profile here.
Mabel is a very sweet little puppy. Her fur is still that ultra-soft puppy fur that is so much fun to pet, and she is incredibly friendly. I love introducing her to new people at the shelter because she always wants to meet them and is very playful.
Naturally, as Mabel is a puppy, she still needs to be potty trained. She is also ready to be trained to be a hunting dog, if that strikes your fancy.
Puppies only come along every so often at the shelter, so this is a great opportunity for any family looking to add a new member. If you’re interested, come by the JRHS between 10 a.m. and noon or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday. We have several other dogs and cats out there that might also interest you.
