I’ve recently become addicted to reruns of the BBC’s automotible show "Top Gear."
It’s basically this: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are three British men who get paid to test drive fancy cars, attempt ridiculous automotive challenges and give eachother very rough times.
What kinds of challenges?
Well, here’s a clip of the guys trying to cross the English Channel in cars they modified to be amphibious. Two of the three vehicles sank, although you don’t get to see one of them go down in this abbreviated clip. (It’s almost a crime that they cut the moment where Clarkson bellows "You failed" before ramming his floating pickup into May’s swamped sailcar)
This show is absolutely brilliant and definitely one of the funniest things in the world. Don’t believe me? Watch this clip of the men driving through Alabama in vehicles marked in slogans such as "NASCAR sucks" and "Country/Western is rubbish." Spoiler: the locals get angry, throw rocks at them and chase them out of town.
