It’s a well-known fact among journalists that people in our industry are rather terrible at keeping their desks clean. In fact, a messy desk is something of a badge of honor.
But tonight, I reached my breaking point (my boss might have had something to do with it) and I began a serious cleanup of my workstation. Papers were discarded, garbage was tossed out and a big stack of stuff went to the recycling bin.
