Darned teeth

I’m going to see Doc Noffze tomorrow morning for a follow-up. I’m worried I’ve got an infection in my mouth in the place where one of my wisdom teeth used to be.

I guess you could say I’ve got a dirty mouth.

Could be dry socket. Dry socket is nasty and darn painful. I got it in both lower spots. They pack it with this stuff and put you on antibiotics. It occurs when the clot comes out of the tooth socket prematurely. Good idea to get it looked at.

Let your dog lick it. Seems to heal just about any ailment we have around our house. I swear dog spit has healed burns, scrapes, blisters, waxy ear build up and pink eye. I realize the mechanics of that are difficult, not to mention the fact that Morgan would never kiss you again. Well, good luck and quick healing.

Yikes! Does sound like dry socket. Good call- Dr. Karin, although I do like the dog spit concept. Buck up and give FIdo a chance to smooch.

If it’s actually an infection, you’ll probably know it.

While my infected tooth does not rank in the top 3 most painful experiences I’ve ever had, it certainly makes the top 5. (For all you mothers out there: No, I have not given birth, so maybe some day the rankings will all be displaced.)

I paced around, weeping and whimpering, for an hour before I called for help, received some lovely drugs and slept until a dentist could see me.

Very good idea to have it looked at, just in case.

Also, you make me very, very glad I was able to keep all four of my bonus teeth.
