Another note on this week’s column: I had to bite my tongue after receiving this comment to my earlier column about LaMoure, N.D.:
I really enjoy the Discovering Dakota series–can I suggest you make a trip to Cooperstown? It’s a cool little place, and the cold war missile site (the Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile State Historic Site, to be exact) is a very cool window into our past.
This comment was posted at 11:07 a.m. on Sept. 11 by a person who identified herself as "janiejones." When she posted it, I was already on my way to Cooperstown.
I think that’s oddly funny.
