A year ago, I took a trip to Kulm, N.D., to write about WindFest for a column in my Discovering Dakota series. A week today, Kulm is having another Windfest with all the eventsI wrote about last year.
The rummage sale and scavenger hunt start at 8 a.m. There is a children’s parade at 9:30 a.m. and the regular parage starts at 10. At 1 p.m., there is the totally awesome demolition derby I watched as well as the melodrama. Lena performs at 4 and the melodrama will be performed again at 6:45 p.m. At 8 they’ll have a pie auction and mechanical bull rides and at 9 p.m. Backstage Pass performs live for the dance.
If you want to live it up during a small-town celebration, you can have your chance on Aug. 15 in Kulm.
