This is a shrine of about 50 candles lit last night in honor of Michael Jackson and also in solidarity with protesters in Iran. It was lit by Maria Rokne and Kristi Skinner, of Jamestown, who told me they wore green while lighting them at 1605 17th Ave. S.W. They were so persistent with their requests for coverage that I went out myself last night to take photos.
Of course, it was rather dark and with available light the camera had to do 8-second exposures and, silly me, I left my tripod at home. So enjoy these blurry-as-heck images of their shrine.
